For its first-ever Innovation Home, the editors of Better Homes and Gardens were on a mission to find smart products that simplify everyday living, help homeowners save energy and money, and deliver a good blend of value, innovation, and stay-awhile style.
BHG's 2015 Innovation Home has a fresh traditional style accented with modern farmhouse details.
The house incorporates over 20 innovations in product technology, including Clopay Canyon Ridge® Collection Limited Edition Series faux wood carriage house doors. Check them out in the magazine’s October issue.
The garage doors are constructed of a durable, low-maintenance composite material that won’t rot, warp or crack. The material is molded from real wood boards to replicate the unique grain patterns and texture of the species. In this case, faux looks fabulous, not fake.

The five-layer construction features Clopay’s Intellicore® insulation technology. The 20.4 R-value ensures living rooms attached to and above the garage will stay comfortable year-round.
Like natural wood garage doors, the Canyon Ridge Collection can either be painted or stained. The builder chose a dark charcoal paint color to match the window cladding and roof.
